    Hi all,

I have recently purchased a logo from iconshock, and it has come in the following formats: .EPS, .AI, JPG and PNG - Now I want to insert my company name where it should allow you to; however, when I put the text tool in Photoshop on the text I cannot select it and amend the text, it simply puts text over the top of the original.

Can anyone please assist and guide me as to where I'm going wrong!

    Many thanks,
    Oliver

If your icon has text already on it, you can't edit that text unless you have the source file (.psd for example). I'm afriad all you can do is try and find the icon without the text in the first place.

Am I right in thinking you are trying to edit the text that the icon came with??

Photoshop rasterises vector data when it opens eps files.

You need a program such as Illustrator so that you can edit either the eps or ai files.
