Am trying to establish wordpress permalinks and they just will not work with csnewmedia - we are going to have to go to a "Wordpress friendly" ISP at this rate. Apparently we need to modify the file rights to .htaccess file? Having big problems doing this. We are going round in circles here - any help much appreciated ! peter@it-123.co.uk.
Hi Problem you seem to have is that you are on windows hosting - htaccess doesn't work with windows. It is possible to use permalinks using isapi rewrite, or there is probably a wordpress plugin. Alternatively if you are only intending using wordpress only why not send a ticket to Carl asking if he can move you to linux hosting, maybe easier in the long run.
That'd be the best idea, and if you were to have a windows and a linux account I believe there are discounts.
