Domain Registration

If you register a .com/.biz domain do you get confirmation from the appropriate body?

I have always just used .co.uk/.org.uk domains before but have registered a number of .com/.biz ones recently. With Nominet you get a certificate after having to complete an online confirmation. Just wondered if it was the same for the other authorities?:wacko:
