View Full Version : Mambo or extension help
I am using an application for cms, and would like it to be my front page, however when i install it it gives mydomain.co/Mambo ? I am a bit thick so is probably pretty simple but i am crap with computers. How do i get the /Mambo/ to be my front page or how can i edit it so that when i type in my url i.e. mydomain.com the Mambo screen shows up?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Are you a CS New Media customer? Are you hosted on our Windows or Linux hosting?
Yes , but the "submit a ticket" link is down, I am on your Silver hosting, and Carl sorted me out about 2 weeks ago, i have been having problems so just erased what i did, to start again, and i cant get rid of the extension /Mambo/ that came with the Linux shared hosting.

The Helpdesk looks OK from this end...
What is your domain name? What you need to do is upload all the Mambo files into the "httpdocs" folder if you want it to be be on www.yourdomain.com rather than www.yourdomain.com/mambo/
When I look in file manager the mambo folder is already in httpdoccs.
Domain name is localpokerresults.com

If you want your site on www.domain.com, drag all the files from the mambo folder on your computer directly to httpdocs.
Carl I moved all the files from/mambo to /httpdocs and now I get a requested document not found error. Sorry for all the trouble.

Refresh the page.
Hello Carl, many thanks can see the site content know. When we look at it no images are displayed and a warning is on the top of the screen. Also when I look at the application install page it says the Mambo folder is in use by another folder. If I have to reinstall again (and by the look of the page I think I will) is there anything else I have to other then move evreything from\Mambo up a level to httpdocs? Also is it possible to just install the application directly in to this folder? I have been taking the default /mambo as it is a mandatory field. If i put in httpdocs will it not just create a sub-directory called httpdoc in the httpdoc folder.
