Finally finished putting together the support/ticket system, aimed more at those who make site visits than web-only.

It grabs basic system specs as requested in an earlier thread.
Email piping is still some way off though

It should all work, but if anyone spots a bug, please let me know

Think the general idea is good - however feel the design needs a lot more work and is quite "clunky"!

:glare:

Clunky in what way?

I'm not a designer really, so that is probably the best you'll get from it to be honest

I agree with the design. It's a bit 'in yer face!'. Try making the buttons smaller, and change the colour perhaps? How about adding a rollover effect?

Sorry - I mean't that everything seems very large, and as Adam says 'In your face'. IT just needs to be tonned down a little, smaller fonts, buttons and more subtle colours.

Hope that helps somewhat!

Out of interest - what are your plans for this in the future?

I quite like its functions, as its simple. Bit unsure of the Calender though and what/how you would use it. Also I would like the log section to be full width rather than just a left sided form - would be the main thing section you would look for after logging on.

As I thought how about once registered you could submit a call without logging in? Just a form on the hom epage which you then add your details to (hate having to log into these things every time).

I do like the register section with the drop down form - very swish.

Are you planning to release this application also?

I was able to book an appointment in the past, so may be worth fixing that :P

Also on the homepage the register bit appears for a second then disappears :S

Coming together nicely though!

Thanks, I think the consensus here is to swap the logo, so I'll get started on that once the coding is fixed.

Luckily it is all CSS, so easy to fix

Plans haven't been finalised yet, I'll probably release it in some form or another

The calendar is more for support companies. In my support side of things, about 99% of calls require a call-out.
I'll alter the form to full width and might make the view just load in a popup window, will have a think.

Allowing submission without logging in might be tricky, it uses sessions to grab the user info. Will have a look into it.

Glad you like the drop-down, I have to confess though, it is some javascript I downloaded.

Yes, I'll probably be releasing this when finished

I really hadn't thought of people booking in the past, good point! Will get that sorted ASAP

I think the register bit may be the javascript kicking in, will investigate.

Thanks everyone

Just to keep you all updated, the design is coming along nicely, I'll put it online when the rest is sorted.

Am adding md5 passwords (with reset option) and database prefix for use alongside other stuff (my CMS for example)

Getting a logo done for it too, so will probably wait for that before uploading.

New design now online, what do you all think of this one?

Logo is WIP, should be sorted soon

Powered by link doesn't work yet either, still making the website for it.
