I am sure there is some one out there who can give a definitive answer to this question....
I have a 64 bit processor in my desktop, but am not sure if it is worth rebuilding it to 64 bit Vista or normal Vista.
Some people say it depends on what apps I will be running on it, and some say it depends in how much RAM I am going to put in it.
Any more ideas would be much appreciated.

Is it worth putting a 64 bit OS on it?

Not sure if this makes any sense but I found this on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/64-bit#32_vs_64_bit

Hi.

We have implemented windows 64pro on all our PC's. After doing this we noticed a marked improvement in preformance when multi tasking. All the PC's have 2 gig of memory.

The only downside is that some software will not work properly in 64 bit. As we only use our PC's for commercial applications as opposed to leisure apps it has not presented a great problem.

I would suggest that you check if your software is 64 bit compatible and that the drivers are available for all your hardware especially the graphics card.

Hope this helps.
