So what Graphic software does everyone use?

I use:

Fireworks 8
Photoshop 7 - very old, because it's expensive to upgrade! & I am not the best in the program

I also have:

Xara somewhere, came free with PC Pro many years ago & of course lovely MS Paint style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

I use Paint Shop Pro 6 and that's pretty much it! Again, very old because these things are expensive, and if you don't know how to use them, why bother?

I use GIMP but only because every other graphics package is too expensive, GIMP was free.

Never really used it much, although I keep meaning to

I've never used Paint Shop Pro, I did install GIMP although I found it very hard to use.

It's supposed to be a mixture between Photoshop & Fireworks (I think) not bad I suppose considering it's free style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif

from what i have used of GIMP i do find it rather difficult to use. the interface is rather poorly designed.

any other free graphics software packages anyone would recommend?

hmm can't say I do, I know free little 'paint' type programs but there no good for graphics stuff.

Fireworks is the most best & most easiest to use IMO. You can download a fully functional 30 day trial from Macromedia.
