I am trying to register my first domain name with csn and when I go to check out i am entering the following:
Legal Type - Individual
Hide whois - Yes
When i click update it reverts back to a limited company and i can't go anywhere. I am trying to register a .co.uk :S
There is a javascript error on the page:
Line: 119
Char: 1
Error: 'document.getElementById(...)' is null or not an object
Code:0
URL: http://www.csnmreg.com/cart.php
I am using I.E 6 sp 2
UPDATE: Done it through helm and it worked. Carl please can you confirm my information is opt'd out of the whois? I didn't see any check box to optin or opt out

Hi,
What browser are you using with CSNMReg?
Your domain registration in Helm is now completed, it was a few hours ago but I forgot to change the status. And WHOIS protection is enabled... You should have received an email anyway?

tried to order another domain through csnmreg.com and I am still getting javascript errors
line: 119
Char: 1
Error: 'document.getElementById(...)' is null or not an object
Code:0
URL : http://www.csnmreg.com/cart.php?ca=checkout
Screen attached... had to go through helm again. Is there anyway you can add something about the whois protection on the helm ordering page?

It seems to work for everyone else OK, can you not just ignore the error?
We are moving over to the new system in a few weeks once we have some other things out of the way.
If you want to "opt-out" of WHOIS on .uk domains just put it in the comments box. If it's a .com/,net/.org etc domain there is a charge of £5.
I've not put your registration from Helm through yet, do you want to opt-out of WHOIS on that one?

Hi Carl,
Yes please for the opt out as always :thumbup1:
I tried it in FF aswell and it wasn't working. Might be my works machine or a toolbar i have installed :gagged:
Cheers

I get this from quite a few sites as I have javascript debugging turned on in I.E. - Normally all errors are ignored and skipped over so lots of sites miss them as well.
When you are told that there is an error I see a dialog "Do you want to debug" - for me "No" continues running the script - in the normal way.
is this the same for you ?
David.

The new system is much cleaner and hopefully won't report any errors! It also supports our Nominet Tag (CSNEWMEDIA) which means we can accept free .uk transfers and low cost .uk registrations.

Sounds good. I'll look forward to it :D

I have registered a few domains and am now trying to manage the WHOIS details because my personal address is appearing against them.
I have the same problem with the reversion to Limited Company.
I should be able to hide my address so that the WHOIS lookup says something like: "The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service."
Instead I am being forced to enter address details with no anonimity option.
Any ideas?

What registrant type is the domain? (Sole Trader, Limited, Individual) etc?
Also I see you have sent a support ticket but not receiving our replies, we recommend using the main Helpdesk (http://www.csnewmediasupport.co.uk) rather than the one built into the domains system.
The password forgot option is working fine as I've tested it myself. Check no emails are going into your spam/junk folders.
In the next few weeks we will be moving the current CSNMReg.com over to a new system which is more easier to use and will support our own Nominet TAG rather than the current Enom system for .uk domains.

Thanks for the exceptionally fast reply.
It should be 'UK Individual'. I have registered this for a client.
I'm new to the Domain Administration side of things. I've been frantically reading FAQs and Forum entries on linking domains to my Plesk hosting. Still having trouble.
Eg. nameservers ns1.ourpleskcp.com, ns2.ditto which does not allow for DSN record managment OR default?
Any links to relevant info or other advice appreciated.

I checked my spam and nothing there.
I managed to log in from a different route. Sure I was using the right password originally, saved in browser. Nevermind though and thanks again.

I've just checked and it looks like it's not possible to "opt-out" of WHOIS once a .uk domain is registered. If you send a support ticket we can enable it manually.
If you want to host the domain in Plesk you need to set the nameservers to ns1/ns2.ourpleskcp.com, you can use the DNS Manager inside Plesk if required to create records.
