Anyone using this or know much about it?
If so, I have a few questions :D

Do you need a seperate merchant account?

Can you take debit cards as well as credit cards?

Does the customer leave your website? I ask this because I came across a website where I was asked credit card details on their website, then taken to paypal to input all the details again  I am sure this will be offputting and it seemed very laborious!

I know it is meant to be quite difficult to integrate but I have found someone who can do it for me with cubecart so that isn't a problem.

We signed up after Christmas - I was "live" within a week. And it's free until July.

No merchant account needed, PayPal provide you with one and one bank statements your clients will see your company name i.e. "She Says, He Says". You do need a business bank account though. You can accept all credit/debit cards you can also take payments over the phone and fax via a virtual terminal.

There is many ways to integrate PayPal Pro, customer's don't have to leave your website, no. Although I still have our PayPal Pro account I don't use it as it doesn't integrate with Helm or our Linux Billing System. Integration can be a pain but with a good developer it shouldn't be an issue - and I think it already works with CubeCart anyway?

We have decided to use WorldPay which I'm hoping will be set-up by Friday!

Thanks Carl! We have been using paypal for years on ebay so we already have a business/merchant account with them :thumbup1:
I've signed up and can now take telephone orders :clapping: So now just have to get it integrated into the website..

Have you changed to worldpay because it wouldn't integrate? or is there some other downside to it I should know??

Thanks again
Sharon

Just had an email back from WorldPay they want a £7500 reserve as hosting is "high risk"!

Ouch. That hurts even more than breaking your new chair did yesterday.

Crikey that's a bit high isn't it? How is hosting high risk?

Well because it is essentially a virtual product.......to them anyway....nothing of any substance I suppose!

We haven't received a chargeback since we started CS New Media and we have a clean trading history.

That is bad! Is there any way you can get paypal pro integrated for you? Can't Andrew sort it out :D

We got an email from nochex today saying they have sorted out the problem of cash advance sharges but I am not so sure of them anymore. We are going to go with paypal pro for now, thanks for all the info :thumbup1:

I've spent most of the day looking at PayPal Pro UK more, going to look into the possibilities of getting it integrated. ;)

Sorry, I'm talking more about using the API rather than an off the shelf/boxed product.
