Hi Mandie,
Nice to see you here style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
The site is very slow for me, I think it may be the animated .gifs on your homepage of the rats, they are very large.
Overall, it was very easy to navigate and I like the use of whitespace for the text/information areas.
Some suggestions:
*Use some more nicer fonts even Arial would be better than Times New Roman IMO.
*Reduce the the image sizes as much as you can.
Hope this helps, good luck with the site! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif

Hi Carl,
Thanks for the comments and advice.
I had a look at the site myself frrom a house that only has dial up and the images took ages to load. I will reduce their size, I don't want to remove them completely as they are images of my own two rats style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
I had hoped to have more of the site completed by now but I have the flu and have been too busy feeling sorry for myself style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif
I've got loads planned for the site and look forward to your comments and advice in the future,
Thanks,
Mandie.

Hi,
A very bizarre site you have there!
Content is always important so get building it up to make people want to come to your site and stay as long as possible.
Also I would suggest making the navigation images on the left either slightly smaller width wise or making the purple side on the left slightly bigger so that your navigation images fit nicely on the left hand side, they stick out a bit and cover the black border currently.
I would also suggest removing your email address from http://www.artandtar.co.uk/html/contact.html as when your website becomes more popular spam robots will nab your email address and swamp you with email. Replace it with a contact form, or write your email address on the page without actually linking to it.
Hope you treat that all as constructive criticism!
Regards,
